Smithy Machine Warranty Agreement
Smithy 3-in-1 and Stand Alone Machines are warranted for two years (unless otherwise noted) from the day the machine was shipped from our warehouse to the original purchaser against defects in materials and workmanship. Machine MUST be registered within 90 days of receiving your machine, or your warranty will be voided. Please register your machine here: SMITHY MACHINE WARRANTY REGISTRATION. During that time, Smithy will replace and send by mail, any defective parts free of charge, upon approval from a Smithy Technician. Upon receipt of the defective parts, a Customer Service Technician will arrange with you to send replacement parts immediately. This warranty does not cover parts that are worn out through the negligence on the part of the operator nor does it cover consequential damages resulting from defects in material or workmanship.
Warranty replacements do not cover the cost of service to repair or replace items. The customer is expected to do the repair work on their machine, or hire someone to do the work for them. We will not reimburse for time spent to replace warranty items.
Most warranty repairs and/or replacements are handled routinely, but sometimes requests for warranty service may not be appropriate. This warranty does not apply to defects due directly or indirectly to misuse, abuse, negligence, accidents, repairs, or lack of routine maintenance. Cosmetic damage, due to shipping or other circumstances, does not fall under the product warranty. This warranty is also void if the serial number of the machine has been removed or has been altered or modified.
In no event shall Smithy be liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages from the sale or use of the product. This disclaimer applies both during and after the term of this warranty.
We do not warrant or represent that the merchandise complies with the provisions of any law or act unless Smithy so warrants. In no event shall Smithy's liability under this warranty exceed the purchase price paid for the merchandise. Legal actions brought against Smithy shall be tried in the State of Michigan, County of Washtenaw.
Smithy shall in no event be liable for death, injuries to persons or property for incidental, contingent, special or consequential damages arising from the use of our products.
This is Smithy's sole warranty and any and all warranties that may be implied by law, including any merchantability or fitness, for any particular purpose, are hereby limited to the duration of this written warranty.
This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights, which vary from state to state. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusions may not apply to you.

Smithy Accessory Warranty Agreement
All parts or accessories, provided they have not been used and are in NEW condition, may be returned for a full refund if return package is postmarked within 30 days of the original ship date. All parts and accessories should be returned in its original or equivalent packaging. Please indicate on the original packing slip the item(s) you are returning, securely package item(s) and packing slip together, and return via the most convenient shipping method. It is recommended that any part or accessory be returned using a traceable service, such as UPS, as no refund will be issued until the part or accessory has been received by Smithy. There will be a restocking fee if items are not received in unused condition, are not in original packaging, are missing pieces, or are damaged in any way. Original shipping costs will not be refunded and no COD returns will be accepted. The 90-day Hands-On Trial does not apply to parts or accessories.
If requesting warranty replacement on accessories, we require either the item to be sent back to us for inspection, or pictures clearly showing damage or defect sent to support@detroitmt.zendesk.com
Allow 1-2 business days for our technicians to contact you to discuss warranty issues further. Our accessories warranty only covers manufacturing defects and shipping damage that is beyond repair. The Smithy Accessory Warranty does not cover cosmetic damage due to shipping or other wear and tear from normal use.
SIX-MONTH LIMITED WARRANTY
- Glass scale digital readouts that are installed on the machine prior to shipping have a 6-month limited warranty, covering manufacturing defects.
- Motor upgrade kits have a limited 6-month warranty covering manufacturing defects.
PLEASE ALLOW UP TO 10 BUSINESS DAYS TO INSPECT AND ISSUE A REFUND OR EXCHANGE
