Smithy started the 3-in1 machine tool craze back in the mid-1980’s with the Midas and sold thousands of machines. When we developed the Granite series of 3 in 1 machine tools, the sales simple machine declined. We gave up the design of the 1620 machine shortly after as the Granite sales skyrocketed. We eventually allowed other companies to sell it before discontinuing it all together. In the process, we lost a machine to fit a gap in our lineup, and so, we brought it back, and made it BETTER THAN EVER.

The Smithy Mill-Turn 1620/32 is a perfect solution for individuals and companies that have smaller shops and budgets, do a moderate amount of machining, and can forgo some " Bells and Whistles."
