Mount irregular shaped pieces to this 8 inch diameter (200mm) face plate with your clamp set or 7/16” T-Slot nuts for facing and boring operations. The center bore is over 1.5" in diameter (40mm). Use the face plates as a base to hold your workpiece to accurately bore single-cylinder engines with your lathe. When used with a lathe dog, you can mount shafts and turn between centers. The workpiece is rotated by the face plate and the lathe dog mounts around the workpiece and engaged into a slot on the face plate. This ensures that the workpiece is always perfectly centered.
