If you need to measure a thread pitch on an existing piece or check your threading skills, this is your tool. Line up the piece you are checking with the appropriate thread pitch blade and it's that simple. Gauges have 30 blades, each with a different thread pitch. Metric gauge measures pitches from .25 to 3.00 mm.
